St Francis Hospice - Charity of the year 2016

We are pleased to annouce we have teamed up with a Brentwood charity to raise funds for those who devote their lives to caring for people with special needs.

We have 'tied the knot' with St Francis Hospice, an organisation which provides vital care and support to individuals with life limiting illness and their families. Throughout 2016, we will host a series of events to raise cash for St Francis who offer a range of support services for residents of Brentwood, Havering, Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge and West Essex.

To celebrate the Queen's Birthday in June we will be providing Afternoon Tea to residents at St Francis. In spring and autumn we will will stage a “Bill Round Event” with all profits donated to St Francis Hospice and in the summer, we will host a Lunch for ladies associated with the charity. St Francis offers a range of support services to for people with life limiting illnesses around Brentwood, Basildon, Billericay and Wickford who look after a relative full time at home.

We are absolutely thrilled to begin working with St Francis who make a huge difference to peoples’ lives. We will aim to raise a much as possible throughout the year, to support their charity and hopefully make a difference. So the charity can maintain the services that are benefitting hundreds of people across Brentwood.

ABOUT ST FRANCIS

Saint Francis Hospice is an independent charity and one of the largest adult hospices in the UK. Their team of specialist consultants, doctors, nurses and a range of other health and social care professionals provide care and support to individuals with a life-limiting illness, as well as their carers and family members, completely free of charge.

They serve the populations of Havering, Brentwood, Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge and West Essex. This year, they need to raise £7.3 million in voluntary income, so every donation from individuals and organisations is important to us. They also have a team of over 800 skilled and committed volunteers who help them keep their costs down and add huge value to the work they do.

Their services are tailored to help people with life limiting illness to cope without fear, in a relaxed setting. Both on-site and in the community, they have access to a full range of medical expertise from trained professionals including:
