Head Chef - Chef Majid Bourote Chef Majid Bourote has been with us for 13 years now. During this time he has earned a reputation for the imaginative dishes he produces. These dishes are beautifully produced and presented, with delicate garnishes and intricate detail, using only the freshest of ingredients available, locally sourced where possible; Majid manages this with out any sacrifice of flavour or taste.

Before joining the hotel Michael worked in fine dining restaurants in Newcastle and Wales. During his 8 years with our company Michael has built a strong team of dedicated restaurant staff, who together help to make your visit to our restaurant an enjoyable experience. Tudors Restaurant - A Fine Dining experience, that should not be missed. The hotel’s Restaurant, Tudors, is set in an original Baronial Hall with large barley twist columns and a vast vaulted ceiling. This fantastic setting forms the perfect canvas for some of the finest food to be found in the county. This fine dining experience is one not to be missed with a choice of either our a la Carte Menu or the six course Chef’s Tasting Menu to tempt your palate. For that extra special treat combine the tasting menu with our Wine Paring and enjoy a specially selected glass of wine to accompany each of the six courses. For something lighter and quicker our two or three course du Jour Menu offers outstanding value from as little as £13.50 per person for two courses. The du Jour Menu changes monthly so you should always be able to find something new and exciting to try! Following our recent AA inspection we were delighted to have maintained our 2 Rosette award for a further year. Two Rosettes are awarded to the best local restaurants which offer higher standards and good consistency. When dining in a two Rosette Restaurant you can expect a greater level of precision in the cooking with obvious attention paid to the quality and selection of ingredients used. Of course no fine dining experience would be complete without a wine list to match. Over the years we have, therefore, developed an award winning wine list which offers in excess of 200 wines from around the world. With this much choice it should be easy to make your perfect selection; however should you require any help or advice our Sommelier is always on hand to guide you through the list!
